The GRIT Skill Development Camp is designed for Players (2009-2006) who want to get ahead & want to leap-frog the competition. Players will be pushed to demonstrate a high compete level in this program all the time. Particular attention will be placed on players 'mechanics' ensuring they develop, and are practicing, the proper techniques. Having an extremely high compete level is a must to be involved with this program. This program will focus on:
Skating Development (30% of each ice session)
Edge work Tight turns Angling Stride
Individual Skill Development (50% of each ice session)
Puck protection Game sense
Mechanics of giving/ receiving passes
Learning/ practicing ‘how’ to win battles
Scrimmage (20% of each ice session)
Demonstrating skills through game situational play is a great way to
reinforce and have fun while doing it.
Limited to 24 Players
Location: Grand Bay Arena (RVCC)
Date: April 1st, (will run twice per week for 4 wks)
Time: 7:45pm – 9:00pm
Cost: Players $195.00 (8 x 75 min sessions)
On ice Instruction with Coach Mike McCluskey (High Performance Level 1; Coach 2017 Bantam Major Kings), and Connor McCluskey(2017 Moncton Wildcats Draft Pick; 2017 Major Midget AAA & 2017 U16 Team NB Player) along with GRIT’s Junior coaching staff that includes players from PeeWee AAA, Bantam AAA and Midget AAA teams.
